The ingredients needed to make Soyabean Palak Pulao:
  1. Make ready 1 bunch spinach (palak)
  2. Get 1/2 cup Soya (meal maker)
  3. Prepare 1 cup Rice
  4. Get 1 onion slice
  5. Get 3 Green chilli
  6. Get 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  7. Get 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  8. Take 2 cup water
  9. Get As needed Coriander leaves chopped
  10. Get 1 tsp Lemon juice
  11. Take to taste Salt
  12. Prepare Whole spices :
  13. Get 3 tbsp Oil
  14. Prepare 1 inch cinnamon stick
  15. Make ready 1 bay leaf
  16. Take 2 cardamom
  17. Take 3 cloves

Heat oil in a pressure cooker pan. Add cumin seeds, bayleaves,cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. A simple and clean pulao, taste fantastic with any spicy curries or gravies. I made it quite easy, in my opinion, pulao has to be simple without lots of spice powders but it should have a whole lot of flavour from the whole spices.

Instructions to make Soyabean Palak Pulao:
  1. In a saucepan, heat enough water to soak the soya nuggets. Add 1 tbsp milk and heat until it starts boiling. Switch off.. Now add the soya to the water, submerge all the soya nuggets and let it soak for 20-30 minutes. The soya chunks will double in size.
  2. Wash the soya in running water and squeeze out the excess water. Wash 2 or 3 times, squeeze out the excess water completely and keep the soya in a bowl. - - Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes.Wash the palak leaves and add a little water and grind it along with a green chilli. Set aside. - 6. In a pressure pan, heat the oil and add the cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and cardamom. Fry for a few minutes.
  3. Add the sliced onions and green chillies. Add some salt and saute until the onions turn translucent. - 8. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.
  4. Add the palak puree and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 3minute - Add the soya. Drain the rice and add it in, add the remaining water and mix well. - Check for salt, add more if needed. Add the lemon juice and mix well - Add the chopped coriander leaves and close the cooker.  - Cook for 2 whistles. Open the cooker when the pressure settles and fluff it up.

I made it quite easy, in my opinion, pulao has to be simple without lots of spice powders but it should have a whole lot of flavour from the whole spices.
